Breathe
finding yourself in the lord
This free 4-week devotional is designed to help you slow down, reconnect with God, and find His presence in the everyday rhythms of summer. Whether you’re folding laundry, tending the garden, or sitting on the porch with your Bible and coffee, these short reflections and handpicked KJV scriptures will guide your heart toward peace, gratitude, and purpose.
Each week explores a new theme — from rest and quiet growth to joy in the mundane — with daily verses to deepen your walk with the Lord in the most ordinary, beautiful moments of homemaking and homesteading life.
Do you feel like life is moving faster than you can keep up?
You’re not alone.
Are your days filled with to-do lists, noise, and distractions… but your soul is quietly craving rest? Do you long to slow down, find peace in the everyday, and reconnect with the presence of God?
This 4-week summer devotional series was created for the woman who desires to live differently — not rushed, not distracted, but rooted in faith and anchored in purpose.
This is more than a devotional. It’s an invitation.
To slow your pace. To breathe deeper. To remember that God is not only found on mountaintops, but in the quiet corners of everyday life.

Are you wondering right about now…
Why do I need this in my life?

This devotional is for the woman who’s weary of rushing, striving, and surviving.
It’s for the homemaker folding laundry in silence, the homesteader who sees God in the garden, the mama craving a moment of peace, and the heart that simply wants to be still and hear from the Lord.
Whether you’re navigating a season of busyness or simply longing for deeper rhythms of rest and renewal, Breathe: Finding Yourself in the Lord will meet you in the middle of real life — and gently point you back to the One who gives rest to the soul.

Hey There!
I’m Nichole Barnes
My journey with homemaking and homesteading hasn’t always been easy. It has been fraught with death, depression, and stress unmeasurable. But it has also been where the Lord has met me most tenderly — in the quiet of morning chores, the ache of loss, and the slow healing of simple routines. I wrote this devotional because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by the weight of daily life and still want to honor God in the middle of it. These pages were born out of my own longing to find peace, purpose, and rest in the ordinary. I pray the words inside this book remind you that God is near, even in the mundane, and that your faith can flourish even in the hardest seasons.
